Valle de Bravo

An atmosphere surrounded by forests, cobbled-stoned streets with charming corners, quaint colonial architecture and cozy bohemian atmosphere have consolidated Valle de Bravo not only as one of the main Magical Pueblos of the country, but also as a favorite destination for high-class people (from Mexico City, the State of Mexico and foreigners); many of them have established there their weekend relaxation home. Its great artificial lake is the main attraction for the water sports lovers (sailing, water skiing, canoeing, fishing, wakeboarding, kayaking or windsurfing).

Perfect place for weekends with the family, with friends or as a getaway in couples, especially those who enjoy contact with nature (Monte Alto Reserve; Velo de Novia (Bride’s Veil) Waterfall Ecological Reserve Park, Avándaro, San Gaspar), as well as the practice of outdoors activities (eco-tourism, rappel, hiking; parasailing, hang glider; camping, trekking, mountain biking) combined with the varied cultural entertainment options (must: International Music and Ecology Valle de Bravo Festival in March; Saint Francis of Assisi Festival, in October; Festival of the Souls, In November).

Outstanding golf courses and high-end spas (Avándaro Hotel Golf & Spa, Rodavento, El Santuario, Rancho Viejo Resort & Golf). To discover: Main Plaza; Market; Church of Santa María; Sunday tianguis; San Gabriel Ixtla (Mazahua community); art museums and galleries (Joaquín Arcadio Pagaza Cultural Center; Archaeology Museum). Growing gastronomical offer; fusion of different world with local traditions and ingredients, being profiting from the use of organic products. Quality handcrafts tradition (pottery, forged iron, baskets, jewelry, textiles).
